Nail Art - Inspired by Tiger King

Hey all you cool cats and kittens! Have we got a special nail art tutorial for you?

Tiger King fever has swept the world and got us all feline the big cat vibe. This Bright ombre with tiger stripes is sure to be a roaring success.

STEP 1

Prepare your nail plate by removing cuticles (see our Essentials Manicure tutorial)

STEP 2

Apply 2-in-1 Base Coat to prep and strengthen nails, and improve polish longevity.

STEP 3

Using shades Papaya and August, apply a generous amount of polish in a thick line to a sponge. Dab the sponge across the nail bed to transfer the colour and blend the two shades to create a subtle ombre. Allow the layer to dry for 2-3 minutes before repeating again to intensify the colour, and wait 2-3 minutes again for the polish to fully dry. Use acetone or nail polish remover to clean up edges and remove polish that has transferred onto skin.

STEP 4

Using Jet Black and a small art brush (Liner or Detail), create a series of tiger stripes by gently waving the brush in a series of long and short strokes. Start stripes right at the edge and create a mixture of long and short stripes, branching and joining them together to replicate tiger stripes. Repeat until you reach the tip of your nail and have an even coverage of stripes and ombre.

STEP 5

Apply Peacci Gel'ous top coat to seal and protect your design for up to 7 days, and give it a glossy gel-like finish!

STEP 6

Finish with Cuticle Oil to nourish and hydrate your nails.
